Jeff Cronk of Carolina Fishing tv shows us a fun and sheltered way to spend an afternoon. Here he is targeting sheepshead. I have tried this under the Emerald Isle Bridge and Swansboro Bridge with good luck. As the video suggests ,I have found that the fiddler crabs are good bait.

Welcome to Fish the IBX. The Inner Banks (IBX) area of North Carolina is home to some of the country’s best fishing. The general definition states that the Inner Banks lie between Interstate 95 to the west, the Outer Banks to the east, and extend from the Virginia border down to the South Carolina border. Consisting of 41 counties, the region is three times the size of the state of New Jersey. Many areas farther from the sounds and tidal rivers have not embraced the Inner Banks brand and are seldom included in the definition.

Fish the IBX’s main purpose is to provide fishermen/women an area to share their fishing experiences with the fishing community. It is our goal to make the experience free and safe.

You can post in the forum without joining, but we would encourage you to join the Fish the IBX community and make yourself at home. You can join by clicking here. We welcome fishing reports from all areas, not just the IBX area.
